At Mary Calcott, our instructional focus is on Reading Comprehension. As a reading community, our students practice using the 7 Comprehension Strategies to understand text across the curriculum. Students practice using the “Super 7” strategies daily during the school wide 14.2 independent reading time as they live out the school motto, “Today Eagles Read, Tomorrow Eagles Lead!”
